You bring the hustle. We bring the shop.

We back young Nigerians who want to run a real business but have no way to raise the capital. We buy the machines, set the place up, and help you run it — then take our money back out of what the business earns.

Tell us about your business Opens WhatsApp. A voice note is fine.

What this is

Not a loan. Not a grant. A partnership.

Banks will not lend to you without collateral you do not have. Loan apps will, at rates that eat the business alive. Neither of them cares whether you succeed.

We take a share of the business instead. That means we only do well if you do well — so we are in it with you, not waiting on a repayment date.

What we bring

  • The machines and equipment, bought and installed
  • The shop set up and ready to open
  • Your company registered properly, in your name
  • Suppliers, prices and a way of working that we know holds up
  • Someone to call when it goes wrong

What we ask

  • Real work before any money moves — that part is unpaid
  • Something of your own in it, however small
  • Every naira banked through the business account
  • A short report each week. Five minutes on WhatsApp
  • That you run it. We are not going to run it for you

How it goes

Nothing is bought until we have both been through this.

It takes a couple of months. That is deliberate — we would both rather find out early than after the money is spent.

  1. 01

We get to know each other

Who you are, what you have run before, and who will speak for you.

  2. 02

    You tell us the business

What it is, who pays for it, who else is doing it nearby, and what would make it fail.

  3. 03

    You find the place

A few options, not one. What the rent really is, and what power actually costs there.

  4. 04

    You price the setup

Machines, sellers, quotes, and who fixes them when they break. You know that market better than we do.

  5. 05

    We do the numbers together

Side by side, honestly — including if they say no.

  6. 06

    We open

We buy, install, register the company, and you start trading.

Straight answers

The questions everybody asks.

Do I own the business?
Yes. You hold the majority and you make the decisions. We keep a small share, and that share stays after our money has come back — that is how this works for us.
What if it fails?
If it fails honestly — wrong location, wrong market, something nobody could control — you do not personally owe us anything. We take the equipment back and that is the end of it. If you steal or lie, that is completely different, and we will come after it.
Why do you not just give me the money?
Because we buy the equipment ourselves, at prices we have negotiated, and hand you a working shop. It protects you as much as us — nobody can ever say money went missing.
Do I need a business plan?
No. We are not interested in a document. We want to hear you think, see what you find when you go and look, and watch how you work.
What does the unpaid part mean?
Finding the site, getting quotes, talking to customers — a few weeks of legwork before anything is committed. If we go ahead, that work counts towards your own contribution.

Being honest

This is not for everybody.

If you are looking for money to be handed over, this will frustrate you. If you want somebody else to make the decisions, it will too.

It suits people who are already doing something — however small — and are held back by capital rather than by ideas. People who will go and knock on doors to find something out, and tell us the truth about what they found.

Think that is you?

Tell us what you want to build and where. Do not write an essay — a voice note explaining it the way you would to a friend is better.
